Hiring.zycto is seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Accountant with a valid CPA designation to join our growing finance team in Vancouver. Key Responsibilities
- Manage general ledger, ensuring accuracy and compliance with accounting principles.
- Prepare and analyze financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
- Perform month-end and year-end close procedures, including reconciliations and journal entries.
- Assist with budgeting and forecasting activities, providing insightful financial analysis.
- Ensure compliance with Canadian accounting standards (ASPE/IFRS) and tax regulations.
- Support external audit processes, providing necessary documentation and explanations.
- Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable functions.
- Process payroll and benefits administration accurately and on time.
- Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracy of financial operations.
- Prepare ad-hoc financial reports and analyses as required by management.
Required Skills
- Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA) designation is mandatory.
- Minimum 3 years of progressive accounting experience.
- Strong knowledge of ASPE and/or IFRS.
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP, Oracle) and MS Excel.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
- High degree of accuracy and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in a similar industry or dynamic corporate environment.
- Knowledge of Canadian tax compliance (GST/PST, corporate income tax).
