Job Description

Hiring.zycto is seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Accountant with a valid CPA designation to join our growing finance team in Vancouver. Key Responsibilities

  • Manage general ledger, ensuring accuracy and compliance with accounting principles.
  • Prepare and analyze financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
  • Perform month-end and year-end close procedures, including reconciliations and journal entries.
  • Assist with budgeting and forecasting activities, providing insightful financial analysis.
  • Ensure compliance with Canadian accounting standards (ASPE/IFRS) and tax regulations.
  • Support external audit processes, providing necessary documentation and explanations.
  • Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable functions.
  • Process payroll and benefits administration accurately and on time.
  • Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracy of financial operations.
  • Prepare ad-hoc financial reports and analyses as required by management.

Required Skills

  • Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA) designation is mandatory.
  • Minimum 3 years of progressive accounting experience.
  • Strong knowledge of ASPE and/or IFRS.
  • Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP, Oracle) and MS Excel.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
  • High degree of accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in a similar industry or dynamic corporate environment.
  • Knowledge of Canadian tax compliance (GST/PST, corporate income tax).
  • Experience with financial modeling and business intelligence tools.
  • Post-secondary degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
