Key Responsibilities
- Process accounts payable and accounts receivable, including data entry, invoice matching, and payment processing.
- Assist with bank reconciliations, credit card reconciliations, and other balance sheet accounts.
- Prepare journal entries and maintain general ledger accounts.
- Support the preparation of financial statements and reports as required.
- Assist with month-end and year-end closing procedures.
- Maintain organized and accurate financial records and documentation.
- Respond to vendor and client inquiries in a professional and timely manner.
- Assist with payroll processing and related tasks.
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of accounting processes and procedures.
- Ensure compliance with company policies and accounting standards.
Required Skills
- Proven experience as an Accounting Assistant or in a similar financial role (1+ years)
- Solid understanding of basic bookkeeping and accounting principles.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel (intermediate level).
- Experience with accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Xero, Sage).
- Excellent data entry skills with a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Ability to handle sensitive information with confidentiality.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications
