Key Responsibilities
- Warmly greet and register patients upon arrival, ensuring a positive and welcoming experience.
- Accurately collect and verify patient demographic information, insurance details, and medical history.
- Process admission forms, consent forms, and other necessary documentation with precision.
- Explain hospital policies, procedures, and patient rights clearly and courteously.
- Direct patients to appropriate departments or waiting areas, providing clear instructions.
- Maintain confidentiality of patient information in accordance with privacy regulations (e.g., PHIPA).
- Answer incoming calls, respond to inquiries, and provide general information to patients and visitors.
- Collaborate effectively with nursing, medical, and administrative staff to ensure seamless patient flow.
- Manage and organize patient files, both physical and electronic, ensuring accessibility and accuracy.
- Assist with scheduling appointments and managing patient queues as required.
