Job Description
Hiring.zycto is seeking a dedicated and passionate Advocacy Coordinator to join our fully remote team. This pivotal role will be instrumental in developing, implementing, and managing advocacy campaigns that drive significant policy and social change. Key Responsibilities
- Lead the planning, development, and execution of advocacy campaigns from conception to evaluation.
- Conduct thorough research and analysis on relevant policies, legislation, and social issues.
- Develop compelling policy briefs, position papers, presentations, and communication materials for various audiences.
- Engage with policymakers, stakeholders, community leaders, and coalition partners virtually to build support and influence outcomes.
- Organize and facilitate remote meetings, webinars, and virtual events to advance advocacy goals.
- Monitor legislative developments and policy changes, assessing their potential impact on our mission.
- Manage project timelines, budgets, and resources for advocacy initiatives.
- Utilize digital tools for campaign management, data tracking, and stakeholder communication.
- Represent Hiring.zycto in virtual forums, conferences, and stakeholder meetings.
- Contribute to the organization's strategic planning and reporting on advocacy outcomes.
Required Skills
- Proven experience (minimum 3 years) in advocacy, public policy, or campaigning.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, including public speaking and presentation.
- Strong research and analytical capabilities.
- Demonstrated ability to manage complex projects and deadlines independently in a remote setting.
- Proficiency in virtual collaboration tools (e.g., Zoom, Microsoft Teams, Slack) and project management software.
- High degree of self-motivation and ability to work effectively in a remote environment.
- Deep understanding of policy development and legislative processes.
- Experience with digital advocacy strategies and tools.
- Bachelor's degree in Political Science, Public Policy, Communications, Social Sciences, or a related field.
