Hiring.zycto is seeking a highly motivated and skilled Aerospace Engineer to join our innovative team in Carrickfergus, Belfast. Key Responsibilities
- Conduct detailed design, analysis, and simulation of aerospace structures, systems, and components using advanced engineering tools and methodologies.
- Perform comprehensive structural analysis, aerodynamic studies, propulsion system design, and flight mechanics assessments to ensure optimal performance and safety.
- Develop and review technical specifications, engineering drawings, and test plans to ensure strict compliance with industry standards, regulatory requirements, and project objectives.
- Participate actively in all phases of the product lifecycle, from initial conceptual design and prototyping to manufacturing support, testing, and in-service analysis.
- Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams, including manufacturing, quality assurance, project management, and research & development, to achieve project milestones and overall objectives.
- Identify, assess, and mitigate potential technical, operational, and safety risks associated with the design and operational aspects of complex aerospace projects.
- Prepare comprehensive and clear technical reports, documentation, and presentations for internal stakeholders, senior management, and external partners.
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of engineering processes, tools, and methodologies to enhance efficiency, quality, and innovation within the team.
Required Skills
- Bachelor's degree in Aerospace Engineering or a closely related field.
- Proficiency in CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, CATIA, AutoCAD).
- Extensive experience with Finite Element Analysis (FEA) software (e.g., ANSYS, NASTRAN).
- Strong understanding of aerospace materials, structural mechanics, and manufacturing processes.
- Solid grasp of aerodynamics, fluid mechanics, thermodynamics, and propulsion principles.
- Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and critical thinking skills.
- Ability to interpret and work with complex technical data, engineering drawings, and schematics.
- Strong communication, interpersonal, and teamwork abilities.
- Familiarity with industry standards and regulations (e.g., EASA, FAA).
Preferred Qualifications
- Master's degree or PhD in Aerospace Engineering or a related advanced engineering discipline.
- Demonstrable experience with advanced simulation tools, such as Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD).
- Knowledge of systems engineering principles and lifecycle management.
- Project management experience or relevant certifications (e.g., PMP).
- Familiarity with programming languages (e.g., Python, MATLAB) for data analysis and automation.
