Key Responsibilities
- Manage end-to-end air freight shipments, including booking, tracking, and delivery.
- Prepare and process all necessary documentation (AWBs, customs declarations, manifests) with precision and compliance.
- Liaise effectively with airlines, overseas agents, customs, and clients to ensure seamless operations.
- Monitor shipment status, proactively identify and resolve potential delays or issues.
- Provide expert advice to clients on shipping regulations, costs, and optimal routes.
- Ensure strict adherence to all international trade regulations, customs laws, and company policies.
- Process invoices, negotiate rates with carriers, and manage related administrative tasks.
Required Skills
- Minimum 3 years of experience as an Air Freight Agent or similar role.
- Proficient knowledge of international air freight procedures, regulations, and documentation.
- Strong understanding of customs clearance processes and compliance.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, both written and verbal.
- Proven ability to work accurately under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficiency in logistics software and MS Office Suite.
- Exceptional problem-solving and organisational abilities.
Preferred Qualifications
- Certification in freight forwarding or international logistics.
- Experience with Dangerous Goods regulations (IATA DGR).
