Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Aircraft Maintenance Engineer (AME) Professional to join our dedicated team in Riverdale, Edmonton. Key Responsibilities

  • Perform comprehensive scheduled and unscheduled maintenance, inspections, repairs, and modifications on aircraft systems and components.
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot complex mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic system malfunctions.
  • Ensure all maintenance activities strictly adhere to Transport Canada regulations, company policies, and manufacturer specifications.
  • Document all maintenance actions accurately and completely, including logbooks, work orders, and technical records.
  • Collaborate effectively with flight crews, operations, and quality assurance personnel to optimize aircraft availability.
  • Conduct pre-flight, through-flight, and post-flight inspections to confirm aircraft airworthiness.
  • Interpret technical drawings, wiring diagrams, and maintenance manuals.
  • Participate in ongoing training and professional development to stay current with industry best practices and technological advancements.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
  • Mentor junior technicians and apprentices as required.

Required Skills

  • Valid Transport Canada Aircraft Maintenance Engineer (AME) License (M1 or M2)
  • Extensive experience with turboprop and/or jet aircraft systems
  • Proficiency in diagnosing complex mechanical and avionics issues
  • Strong understanding of aviation regulations (e.g., CARs)
  • Exceptional attention to detail and a commitment to quality workmanship
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Computer literacy for record-keeping and diagnostic tools

Preferred Qualifications

  • Type endorsements on specific aircraft operated by Hiring.zycto
  • Experience with maintenance tracking software (e.g., AMOS, TRAX)
  • Familiarity with lean maintenance principles
  • Advanced troubleshooting certifications
  • Post-secondary education in Aviation Technology or a related field
