As Airport Ground Staff, you will be on the frontline, executing critical tasks that are fundamental to airline schedules and passenger satisfaction. Your responsibilities will encompass two key areas: passenger boarding and efficient baggage management. For boarding, you will be the friendly face assisting passengers, verifying documents, guiding them through the gate process, and ensuring a timely and organised embarkation onto the aircraft. Attention to detail and excellent communication skills are paramount in this role, as you’ll be the last point of contact before passengers board, resolving queries and providing clear instructions.
In the baggage handling aspect, you will be responsible for the safe and swift loading and unloading of luggage, cargo, and mail onto and from aircraft. This requires physical stamina, precision, and an unwavering commitment to safety protocols. You will operate various ground support equipment (GSE), sort bags according to destination, and work closely with your team and airline personnel to maintain tight turnaround times. Understanding weight and balance principles, alongside meticulous handling of special items, will be part of your daily routine.

Key Responsibilities
- Verify passenger tickets, boarding passes, and identification documents at the gate.
- Guide passengers through the boarding process efficiently and courteously.
- Announce boarding procedures and provide clear instructions to passengers.
- Assist passengers with special needs, including unaccompanied minors and those requiring wheelchair assistance.
- Operate ground support equipment (GSE) such as baggage loaders, tugs, and belt loaders safely and efficiently.
- Load and unload baggage, cargo, and mail onto and from aircraft, adhering to weight and balance guidelines.
- Sort and transport luggage to and from the terminal and aircraft.
- Conduct visual inspections of aircraft and equipment for any abnormalities before and after operations.
- Adhere strictly to all safety regulations, airline procedures, and security protocols.
- Communicate effectively with flight crews, airline agents, and fellow ground staff to ensure seamless operations.
- Respond to passenger inquiries and resolve minor issues during the boarding process.
- Maintain a clean and organised work environment on the ramp and at the gate.

- Eligibility to obtain an Airport Restricted Zone Pass.
Preferred Qualifications

- Experience in a physically demanding role.
- Knowledge of aviation security procedures.
- First Aid certification.
