As an Airport Security Officer, you will play an indispensable role in maintaining the highest standards of security across all areas of the airport environment. Key Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough security screening of passengers, cabin baggage, and hold baggage using X-ray machines, body scanners, and physical search techniques.
- Perform comprehensive security checks on airport personnel, vehicles, and cargo entering restricted areas.
- Control access points to airside and other secure zones, verifying identities and credentials accurately.
- Respond promptly and effectively to security alarms, incidents, and emergencies in accordance with established procedures.
- Conduct regular patrols of designated areas, identifying and reporting any suspicious activities or breaches.
- Monitor CCTV systems for unusual activity and operate security equipment efficiently.
- Provide clear and concise instructions and assistance to passengers and staff regarding security procedures.
- Complete detailed incident reports and daily logs accurately and promptly.
- Adhere strictly to all Department for Transport (DfT) and company aviation security regulations.
- Liaise effectively with law enforcement agencies, airport authorities, and internal teams as required.
