Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute high-quality 2D and 3D animations for various projects, including character animation, motion graphics, visual effects, and UI animations.
- Collaborate closely with creative directors, art leads, designers, and other stakeholders to understand project requirements and translate storyboards/concepts into animated sequences.
- Create keyframe animations, rigging, skinning, and apply textures as needed, ensuring visual consistency and adherence to artistic style guides.
- Iterate on animations based on feedback, refining timing, pacing, and overall visual impact to meet project goals.
- Manage animation pipelines efficiently, ensuring files are optimized for performance and delivered on schedule.
- Maintain an organized asset library and follow established naming conventions.
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends, software advancements, and new animation techniques to continually enhance skills and contribute innovative ideas.
- Participate in virtual team meetings, critiques, and brainstorming sessions.
- Troubleshoot technical issues related to animation software and file formats.
- Ensure all animated content meets quality standards and project specifications.
Required Skills
- Proficiency in industry-standard animation software (e.g., Adobe After Effects, Cinema 4D, Maya, Blender).
- Strong portfolio demonstrating a range of animation styles and techniques.
- Solid understanding of animation principles (timing, spacing, anticipation, squash and stretch, etc.).
- Excellent sense of rhythm, timing, and visual storytelling.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously in a remote environment.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills for virtual team interactions.
- Experience with character rigging and motion graphics.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Animation, Fine Arts, Digital Media, or a related field.
- Experience with game engines (e.g., Unity, Unreal Engine) and real-time animation.
- Familiarity with scripting languages (e.g., Python, MEL) for animation tools.
- Experience in visual development or concept art.
- Knowledge of 3D modeling and texturing software (e.g., ZBrush, Substance Painter).
