Hiring.zycto is actively seeking enthusiastic and dedicated individuals to join our team as an Appliance Installer Helper in the Etobicoke West Mall, Toronto area. This is a fantastic entry-level opportunity for someone with a strong work ethic, a willingness to learn, and a positive attitude. You’ll work alongside experienced appliance installers, learning the intricacies of delivering, positioning, and safely installing a wide range of household appliances including refrigerators, ovens, dishwashers, washers, and dryers. Key Responsibilities
- Assist lead installers in the safe and efficient delivery, unpacking, and positioning of various household appliances at customer locations.
- Learn and apply proper techniques for connecting appliances to existing water, gas, and electrical lines under direct supervision.
- Carefully handle appliances and tools to prevent damage to products, property, and ensure personal safety.
- Support the preparation of installation sites, including minor modifications or clean-up as required.
- Help with the removal and disposal of old appliances and packaging materials in an environmentally responsible manner.
- Maintain a clean and organized work vehicle, ensuring all tools and equipment are present and in good working order.
- Communicate effectively and professionally with customers, providing a positive service experience.
- Adhere strictly to all safety protocols, company policies, and industry best practices at all times.
- Participate actively in ongoing training and development opportunities to enhance technical skills and product knowledge.
Required Skills
- Physical stamina and ability to lift and move heavy appliances (up to 75 lbs regularly, with assistance for heavier items).
- Strong work ethic and punctuality, with a commitment to team success.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, fostering positive customer interactions.
- Basic problem-solving abilities and a mechanical aptitude.
- Ability to follow instructions meticulously and work effectively in a team environment.
- Valid G driver's license with a clean driving record (preferred, but not strictly required for initial hire).
- Availability to work full-time hours, including occasional evenings or weekends as dictated by service demand.
Preferred Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience in a customer service role.
