Hiring.zycto is on the lookout for a visionary and passionate A&R Representative to join our burgeoning team in Swinton, Manchester. Key Responsibilities
- Actively scout, identify, and sign new musical talent across various genres, attending live shows, showcases, and utilising digital platforms.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with artists, managers, producers, and other industry professionals.
- Oversee the creative development process for signed artists, including song selection, studio recording, mixing, and mastering.
- Collaborate with marketing, promotions, and publicity teams to strategically launch and promote artist releases.
- Negotiate and review artist contracts, ensuring fair and beneficial terms for both artists and the label.
- Monitor music trends, competitive releases, and industry shifts to inform A&R strategy and identify opportunities.
- Provide creative guidance and feedback to artists, helping them refine their sound and artistic vision.
- Manage budgets for artist development and recording projects, ensuring efficient resource allocation.
- Represent Hiring.zycto at industry events, conferences, and networking functions.
Required Skills
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in an A&R role or a closely related position within the music industry.
- Exceptional ear for talent and a comprehensive knowledge of current music trends and genres.
- Proven track record of discovering or contributing to the success of new artists.
- Extensive network within the music industry (artists, producers, managers, promoters, etc.).
- Strong negotiation and communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a dynamic team in a fast-paced environment.
- Deep understanding of music production, publishing, and licensing processes.
- Proficiency in music-related software and digital scouting tools.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Music Business, Arts Management, or a related field.
- Experience with international markets and artist development strategies.
- Established portfolio of signed artists or successful projects.
- Fluency in additional languages is a plus.
- Previous experience managing recording budgets and timelines.
