Job Description
Hiring.zycto is seeking highly skilled, dedicated, and vigilant individuals to join our elite team as an Armored Truck Guard with a valid Firearms License. Based out of our Sumach Village, Toronto operations, this critical role involves the secure transportation of valuable assets, including cash, precious metals, and sensitive documents, ensuring their safe and timely delivery. As an Armored Truck Guard, you will be a frontline defender, responsible for maintaining the integrity and security of consignments while upholding the highest standards of professionalism and safety. This demanding yet rewarding position requires unwavering attention to detail, exceptional situational awareness, and the ability to operate effectively under pressure.
You will work as part of a highly trained team, navigating urban and regional routes in state-of-the-art armored vehicles. Your primary mission is to deter, detect, and respond to potential threats, ensuring the safety of yourself, your team members, and the valuable cargo entrusted to your care. Successful candidates will demonstrate a proactive approach to security, excellent communication skills, and a strong understanding of legal and company protocols regarding firearms use and security procedures. Key Responsibilities
- Safely and securely transport valuable assets, including cash, precious metals, and sensitive documents, between various locations.
- Operate armored vehicles in compliance with all traffic laws and company safety policies.
- Conduct thorough pre-and post-trip inspections of vehicles and equipment.
- Maintain constant vigilance and situational awareness to identify and neutralize potential security threats.
- Adhere strictly to all company security protocols, policies, and procedures, including those pertaining to firearms handling and engagement.
- Accurately complete all necessary paperwork, logs, and reports related to transportation activities and incidents.
- Communicate effectively with team members, dispatch, and clients to ensure smooth operations and timely issue resolution.
- Respond professionally and effectively to security breaches or emergencies, following established protocols.
- Maintain the highest level of confidentiality regarding client information and cargo details.
- Regularly participate in mandatory training and qualification sessions to maintain proficiency and licensure.
Required Skills
- Valid Ontario Security Guard License
- Valid Possession and Acquisition Licence (PAL) for Restricted Firearms (RPAL)
- Clean driving record and valid G-class driver's license (or equivalent)
- Minimum 1 year of experience in a security-related role, preferably in cash-in-transit or armed guarding
- Ability to lift and carry heavy bags/containers (up to 50 lbs) repeatedly
- Excellent observational skills and attention to detail
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment
- Sound judgment and decision-making abilities under pressure
- Proficiency in English (reading, writing, and speaking)
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience as an Armored Truck Guard or in a similar high-security transportation role
- Advanced first aid and CPR certification
- Experience with security technology and surveillance systems
- Post-secondary education in a related field (e.g., Criminology, Law Enforcement)
