Key Responsibilities
- Operate and maintain a wide range of audio equipment, including mixing consoles, microphones, preamplifiers, and outboard gear.
- Record, mix, and master audio for various projects, including music, podcasts, voiceovers, and post-production.
- Collaborate with artists, producers, and clients to understand project requirements and achieve desired sonic outcomes.
- Perform meticulous audio editing, noise reduction, and sound enhancement tasks.
- Set up microphones and monitor signal flow to ensure optimal sound capture.
- Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to audio hardware and software in real-time.
- Maintain studio cleanliness and organization, ensuring all equipment is properly stored and cared for.
- Stay updated on industry trends, technologies, and best practices in audio engineering.
Required Skills
- Proficiency with industry-standard Digital Audio Workstations (DAWs) such as Pro Tools, Logic Pro, or Ableton Live.
- Strong understanding of acoustics, signal flow, and audio theory.
- Demonstrable experience with microphone techniques and placement for various instruments and vocals.
- Expertise in audio mixing and mastering processes, including EQ, compression, reverb, and delay.
- Ability to troubleshoot audio equipment, software, and cabling issues effectively.
