Job Description

Hiring.zycto is actively seeking a dedicated and experienced Audiologist – Professional to join our growing team in Port Union, Toronto. This is an exceptional opportunity for a licensed and passionate professional to significantly impact the lives of individuals experiencing hearing and balance disorders. As a key member of our patient-focused healthcare team, you will be responsible for providing comprehensive audiological services, from diagnostic testing and evaluation to personalized treatment plans and ongoing patient management. Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct comprehensive audiological evaluations, including pure-tone audiometry, speech audiometry, immittance measurements, and otoacoustic emissions.
  • Perform advanced diagnostic testing such as Auditory Brainstem Response (ABR) and Vestibular Evoked Myogenic Potentials (VEMPs) as required.
  • Interpret diagnostic test results to accurately diagnose hearing and balance disorders.
  • Develop and implement personalized treatment plans, including hearing aid fitting, programming, and follow-up care.
  • Provide extensive counseling and education to patients and their families regarding hearing loss, hearing aids, communication strategies, and prevention.
  • Manage a diverse caseload, ensuring efficient scheduling and timely patient care.
  • Collaborate effectively with physicians, speech-language pathologists, and other healthcare professionals for interdisciplinary patient management.
  • Maintain accurate, detailed, and confidential patient records in compliance with professional and regulatory standards.
  • Participate in professional development activities and stay current with advancements in audiology technology and practices.
  • Contribute to continuous quality improvement initiatives within the clinic.

Required Skills

  • Master's or Doctoral degree in Audiology (M.Sc.A. or Au.D.) from an accredited university program.
  • Current registration and in good standing with the College of Audiologists and Speech-Language Pathologists of Ontario (CASLPO).
  • Minimum of 4 years of clinical experience as a practicing Audiologist.
  • Proficiency in administering and interpreting a full range of audiological diagnostic tests.
  • Demonstrated expertise in hearing aid selection, fitting, verification, and programming across various manufacturers.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and patient counseling skills.
  • Strong organizational and time management abilities.
  • Proficiency in electronic medical record (EMR) systems and audiology software.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with vestibular assessment and rehabilitation.
  • Familiarity with Cochlear Implants and Bone Conduction Hearing Systems.
  • Bilingualism (English and another language commonly spoken in the Port Union community).
  • Experience mentoring junior audiologists or students.
