Hiring.zycto is actively seeking a dedicated and experienced Audiologist – Professional to join our growing team in Port Union, Toronto. Key Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive audiological evaluations, including pure-tone audiometry, speech audiometry, immittance measurements, and otoacoustic emissions.
- Perform advanced diagnostic testing such as Auditory Brainstem Response (ABR) and Vestibular Evoked Myogenic Potentials (VEMPs) as required.
- Interpret diagnostic test results to accurately diagnose hearing and balance disorders.
- Develop and implement personalized treatment plans, including hearing aid fitting, programming, and follow-up care.
- Provide extensive counseling and education to patients and their families regarding hearing loss, hearing aids, communication strategies, and prevention.
- Manage a diverse caseload, ensuring efficient scheduling and timely patient care.
- Collaborate effectively with physicians, speech-language pathologists, and other healthcare professionals for interdisciplinary patient management.
- Maintain accurate, detailed, and confidential patient records in compliance with professional and regulatory standards.
- Participate in professional development activities and stay current with advancements in audiology technology and practices.
- Contribute to continuous quality improvement initiatives within the clinic.
Required Skills
- Master's or Doctoral degree in Audiology (M.Sc.A. or Au.D.) from an accredited university program.
- Current registration and in good standing with the College of Audiologists and Speech-Language Pathologists of Ontario (CASLPO).
- Minimum of 4 years of clinical experience as a practicing Audiologist.
- Proficiency in administering and interpreting a full range of audiological diagnostic tests.
- Demonstrated expertise in hearing aid selection, fitting, verification, and programming across various manufacturers.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and patient counseling skills.
- Strong organizational and time management abilities.
- Proficiency in electronic medical record (EMR) systems and audiology software.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with vestibular assessment and rehabilitation.
- Familiarity with Cochlear Implants and Bone Conduction Hearing Systems.
- Bilingualism (English and another language commonly spoken in the Port Union community).
- Experience mentoring junior audiologists or students.
