Key Responsibilities

  • Perform comprehensive diagnostics on various vehicle systems (engine, transmission, electrical, braking, steering, etc.) using advanced diagnostic equipment.
  • Execute preventative maintenance and repairs on passenger vehicles and light trucks in accordance with manufacturer specifications.
  • Conduct thorough inspections and accurately identify mechanical and electrical issues.
  • Repair or replace defective parts, components, and systems, ensuring high-quality workmanship.
  • Perform tire services, including mounting, balancing, rotation, and repair.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work environment, adhering to all safety protocols and standards.
  • Document all services performed and parts used accurately and thoroughly.
  • Communicate effectively with service advisors and team members regarding vehicle status and repair needs.
  • Stay current with automotive technology and industry best practices through continuous learning and training.

Required Skills

  • Minimum of 3 years of verifiable experience as an Automotive Technician in a professional setting.
  • Proficiency in diagnosing and repairing complex automotive systems.
  • Strong knowledge of gasoline and diesel engine mechanics, electrical systems, and modern vehicle technology.
  • Ability to operate diagnostic tools, scanning equipment, and other specialized automotive software.
  • Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Red Seal certification or equivalent recognized automotive technician qualification.
  • Experience with multiple vehicle makes and models.
  • Additional certifications in specialized areas (e.g., HVAC, hybrid/EV systems).
  • Familiarity with Canadian vehicle standards and regulations.
