Key Responsibilities
- Greet customers warmly and assist them in selecting bakery items, offering recommendations as needed.
- Operate point-of-sale (POS) systems, handle cash, debit, and credit card transactions accurately.
- Package bakery products neatly and efficiently, ensuring correct labeling and presentation.
- Maintain clean and attractive product displays, rotating stock and replenishing items as required.
- Monitor product freshness and expiry dates, removing outdated items to ensure quality standards.
- Keep the bakery area, display cases, and work surfaces clean and organized throughout the day.
- Assist with basic food preparation tasks such as slicing bread, decorating simple pastries, or preparing coffee.
- Respond to customer inquiries and resolve minor complaints courteously and effectively.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth operations and a positive work environment.
- Adhere to all food safety and sanitation guidelines.
