As a Blueprint Runner, you will be the backbone of our site operations, ensuring that critical project documents are meticulously managed and readily available to all necessary personnel. Your role is pivotal in maintaining efficiency and accuracy, directly contributing to the smooth progression of our construction projects. You’ll work closely with project managers, site supervisors, and various trade professionals, gaining invaluable exposure to different facets of the construction industry. Your day-to-day will involve tasks such as organizing large sets of architectural and engineering drawings, distributing updated plans to team members, collecting outdated versions, and maintaining a systematic filing system both physically and digitally. Key Responsibilities
- Organize, label, and maintain an up-to-date library of construction blueprints and project documents.
- Distribute correct and current versions of blueprints to project managers, foremen, and trade specialists on-site.
- Collect and archive outdated blueprint versions, ensuring proper documentation control.
- Assist with general administrative tasks, including photocopying, scanning, and digital filing of documents.
- Communicate effectively with various team members to ascertain their blueprint needs and deliver promptly.
- Learn and adhere to all company safety protocols and site-specific regulations.
- Support the project team with ad-hoc requests related to document management and site coordination.
- Conduct periodic inventories to ensure all blueprint sets are accounted for and in proper order.
Required Skills
- Strong organizational skills and meticulous attention to detail.
- Ability to follow instructions accurately and efficiently.
- Basic computer literacy, including familiarity with Microsoft Office applications.
