Key Responsibilities
- Manage and maintain accurate financial records for multiple clients using various accounting software.
- Process accounts payable and accounts receivable, including invoicing, payments, and reconciliations.
- Perform bank reconciliations and general ledger reconciliations on a regular basis.
- Prepare and submit VAT returns and other statutory filings as required.
- Assist with payroll processing, ensuring timely and accurate employee payments and compliance.
- Generate financial reports, including profit and loss statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements.
- Communicate effectively with clients to resolve queries and provide financial updates.
- Ensure compliance with relevant accounting standards and company policies.
- Identify and resolve discrepancies in financial records promptly and accurately.
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of bookkeeping processes and systems.
Required Skills
- Proven experience as a Bookkeeper or in a similar financial role (minimum 3 years).
- Proficiency in accounting software such as Xero, QuickBooks, or Sage.
- Strong understanding of accounting principles and bookkeeping practices.
- Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.
- Excellent organisational and time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple client accounts.
- Ability to work independently and manage workload effectively in a remote environment.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel.
Preferred Qualifications
- AAT qualification or equivalent bookkeeping certification.
- Experience working with a diverse range of clients or industries.
