Job Description
Hiring.zycto is on the lookout for experienced and professional Bouncers (Door Supervisors) to manage entry and ensure safety at various clubs and event venues in the Garthamlock area of Glasgow. This vital role is about more than just checking IDs; it’s about being the first and last point of contact for our guests, setting a tone of safety, respect, and professionalism. You will be instrumental in maintaining order, de-escalating potential conflicts, and responding swiftly and appropriately to any incidents that may arise. Our venues host diverse crowds, from energetic club-goers to attendees of exclusive events, requiring a calm demeanor, sharp observational skills, and the ability to adapt to varying situations.

Key Responsibilities
- Manage and control entry and exit points, including checking identification and ensuring compliance with age restrictions and dress codes.
- Maintain a visible presence to deter undesirable behavior and ensure the safety and security of all patrons and staff.
- Monitor crowd behavior, identify potential risks, and proactively de-escalate conflicts or disturbances.
- Respond effectively and professionally to emergency situations, including medical incidents, fires, or security breaches.
- Enforce venue policies regarding alcohol consumption, illegal substances, and disruptive behavior.
- Conduct regular patrols of the venue premises to identify and address any security concerns.
- Collaborate with venue management, local law enforcement, and emergency services when required.
- Provide clear and concise incident reports for any noteworthy events or issues.
- Assist patrons with directions, information, and general inquiries, promoting a positive guest experience.
- Ensure compliance with all health and safety regulations pertinent to the venue and event operations.
Required Skills
- Valid SIA Door Supervisor Licence (essential)
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong conflict resolution and de-escalation abilities
- Proven ability to remain calm and authoritative under pressure
- Exceptional observational skills and attention to detail
- Physical fitness and stamina for prolonged standing and patrolling
- Knowledge of relevant security laws and venue regulations
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience as a Bouncer or Door Supervisor in a club or event setting
- First Aid at Work certification
- Experience with diverse crowd management scenarios
- Customer service experience in a fast-paced environment
