Are you a morning person with a passion for hospitality and a knack for creating a welcoming atmosphere? Hiring.zycto is searching for an enthusiastic and dedicated Part-Time Breakfast Attendant to join our dynamic hotel team in Broadview North, Toronto. As a Breakfast Attendant, you are the crucial first point of contact for our guests each morning, setting the tone for their entire day. Your primary responsibility will be to ensure our breakfast service is not just functional, but an exceptional and memorable experience.
This role involves much more than simply serving food; you will be the face of our morning operations, greeting guests with a friendly smile, assisting them with their needs, and ensuring the breakfast area is impeccably clean, well-stocked, and inviting. You’ll be responsible for setting up the breakfast buffet before service begins, which includes arranging food items, beverages, and tableware, as well as maintaining proper food temperatures and hygiene standards throughout the service period. During peak hours, your ability to efficiently replenish food and beverage items, clear tables, and proactively assist guests will be key to guest satisfaction.
Beyond the operational tasks, we seek someone who genuinely enjoys interacting with people, can anticipate needs, and has a keen eye for detail. You’ll ensure our dining area remains spotless, performing regular clean-ups and preparing the space for the next day’s service. Key Responsibilities
- Greet all guests warmly and provide exceptional customer service throughout the breakfast period.
- Set up, maintain, and break down the breakfast buffet according to hotel standards.
- Ensure all food and beverage items are replenished promptly and presented attractively.
- Monitor and maintain proper food temperatures and adhere strictly to all food safety and hygiene regulations.
- Clear and clean tables, ensuring the breakfast area is tidy and inviting at all times.
- Assist guests with requests, inquiries, and special dietary needs to enhance their dining experience.
- Perform general cleaning duties of the breakfast area, including floors, counters, and equipment.
- Assist with inventory management and reporting of breakfast supplies.
- Collaborate with kitchen and front desk staff to ensure seamless service.
- Handle guest feedback and escalate concerns to management as needed.
Required Skills
- Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills.
- Strong communication abilities, both verbal and non-verbal.
- Ability to work early morning shifts, including weekends and holidays.
- Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently.
- Basic knowledge of food safety and sanitation procedures.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 25 lbs.
- Legally authorized to work in Canada.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in a hotel, restaurant, or customer service role.
- Food Handler's Certificate (or willingness to obtain one).
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Experience with buffet setup and maintenance.
