Your daily contributions will be crucial in ensuring the smooth and efficient progress of our projects from groundwork to finishing stages. Key Responsibilities
- Perform general labour duties on construction sites, including site preparation, clearing, and tidying.
- Assist skilled tradespersons (e.g., bricklayers, carpenters, roofers) with various tasks.
- Handle and transport building materials and equipment safely and efficiently.
- Operate a variety of hand and power tools competently and safely.
- Dig trenches, pour concrete, mix mortar, and assist with formwork installation.
- Erect and dismantle scaffolding and temporary structures under supervision.
- Adhere strictly to all health, safety, and environmental regulations and company policies.
- Maintain a clean and organised work area to ensure site safety and efficiency.
- Read and interpret basic construction plans and instructions.
- Report any site hazards, incidents, or defects to the site supervisor promptly.
- Contribute positively to team morale and work collaboratively to meet project deadlines.
Required Skills
- Proven experience in general construction and site labour.
- Strong physical fitness and stamina for demanding manual tasks.
- Proficiency in using a range of hand and power tools common in construction.
- Solid understanding of construction site safety protocols and best practices.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team and follow instructions.
- Reliability, punctuality, and a strong work ethic.
- Basic communication skills in English.
Preferred Qualifications
- Valid CSCS (Construction Skills Certification Scheme) card.
- Formal training or vocational qualification in construction.
- Experience operating specific heavy machinery (e.g., excavators, dumpers) with relevant certifications.
- First Aid at Work certification.
- Previous experience working on commercial construction projects.
