Key Responsibilities

  • Greet passengers with a friendly and helpful demeanor, providing excellent customer service.
  • Efficiently collect fares, issue tickets, and handle cash and card transactions accurately.
  • Assist passengers with boarding and alighting, particularly those with mobility challenges, prams, or luggage.
  • Provide accurate information regarding routes, schedules, and connections.
  • Ensure passenger safety and comfort throughout the journey, assisting in emergency situations if required.
  • Maintain a clean and orderly environment on the bus, adhering to company standards.
  • Communicate effectively with bus drivers to ensure smooth and timely operations.
  • Handle passenger inquiries, complaints, and feedback professionally and courteously.
  • Conduct regular checks on the bus for any forgotten items or potential hazards.
  • Adhere strictly to all company policies, safety regulations, and public transport guidelines.

Required Skills

  • Exceptional customer service and interpersonal skills.
  • Proven ability to handle cash and card transactions accurately and responsibly.
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Ability to remain calm and professional in fast-paced or challenging situations.
  • Basic knowledge of local geography and public transport routes.
  • Reliability, punctuality, and a strong work ethic.
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and public holidays.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous experience in a customer-facing role within the transport or retail sector.
  • First Aid certification.
