Job Description

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist senior engineers and designers in the creation of detailed 2D and 3D CAD drawings and models.
  • Prepare, review, and revise drawings according to project specifications and industry standards.
  • Convert sketches, redline mark-ups, and design notes into accurate CAD representations.
  • Maintain and organise CAD files, ensuring proper version control and documentation.
  • Collaborate with project teams to understand design requirements and integrate feedback.
  • Perform basic calculations and data analysis to support design decisions.
  • Ensure all work adheres to company policies, safety regulations, and quality control procedures.
  • Participate in team meetings and contribute to problem-solving sessions.
  • Continuously learn and apply new CAD techniques and software functionalities.

Required Skills

  • Proficiency in at least one major CAD software (e.g., AutoCAD, SolidWorks, Inventor, Revit).
  • Strong understanding of technical drawing principles and drafting standards.
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to interpret engineering drawings and schematics.
  • Basic knowledge of geometry, algebra, and trigonometry.
  • Good communication and teamwork skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
  • A proactive attitude and willingness to learn.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Relevant qualification (e.g., HNC/HND, Degree) in Engineering, Architecture, or a related technical discipline.
  • Prior experience with PDM/PLM systems.
  • Familiarity with building codes or relevant industry regulations.
  • Any demonstrable portfolio of CAD work (academic or personal projects).
