Key Responsibilities

  • Carry single or double golf bags for golfers throughout the entire round (typically 9 or 18 holes).
  • Provide accurate yardage information and assist players with appropriate club selection based on course conditions and shot requirements.
  • Locate golf balls swiftly and efficiently, maintaining the pace of play.
  • Replace divots, rake bunkers, and maintain the course's pristine condition by following proper etiquette.
  • Offer strategic advice and course knowledge to enhance the golfer's experience and decision-making.
  • Anticipate player needs and provide proactive, friendly, and attentive service.
  • Clean golf clubs and balls as needed, ensuring equipment is in top condition.
  • Adhere to all club rules, regulations, safety standards, and caddie protocols.
  • Maintain a professional appearance and demeanor at all times, representing the club with integrity.
  • Assist with other duties as assigned by the Caddie Master or Golf Operations management.

Required Skills

  • Excellent physical stamina and the ability to walk long distances while carrying golf equipment for extended periods.
  • Strong interpersonal and effective communication skills to interact positively with golfers and staff.
  • Reliable, punctual, and possessing a strong, dedicated work ethic.
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively as part of a dynamic team.
  • Foundational knowledge of golf course etiquette, basic rules of golf, and general game flow.
  • Availability to work flexible hours, including early mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays throughout the golf season (typically April-October).
  • A passion for the game of golf and a desire to contribute to an exceptional golf experience.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous caddying or direct experience working in a golf course operations environment is a significant asset.
  • Familiarity with various golf course layouts, strategic play, and advanced golf rules.
  • Certification from a recognized caddie program or golf association.
  • Strong knowledge of different golf club types, their uses, and shot trajectories.
  • Ability to read greens and assist golfers with putting lines accurately.
