Hiring.zycto is actively seeking an experienced and dedicated Carpenter to join our growing team in White Rock, British Columbia. Key Responsibilities
- Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and sketches to determine specifications and calculate requirements.
- Measure, cut, shape, assemble, and join materials made of wood, wood substitutes, lightweight steel, and other materials.
- Construct, erect, install, and repair building frameworks and structures such as walls, floors, doorframes, stairways, and roofs.
- Install interior and exterior finishes such as doors, windows, trim, molding, and hardware.
- Inspect and replace damaged framework or other structures and fixtures.
- Ensure all work complies with building codes, regulations, and safety standards.
- Work collaboratively with other tradespeople, project managers, and team members.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment at all times.
- Operate and maintain a variety of hand and power tools safely and efficiently.
Required Skills
- Proven experience as a Carpenter in residential or commercial construction.
- Strong knowledge of building materials, construction methods, and safety procedures.
- Proficiency in using a wide range of hand and power tools (e.g., saws, drills, sanders).
- Excellent understanding of carpentry techniques and methods.
- Ability to read and accurately interpret technical documents and drawings.
- Solid analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen eye for detail.
- Physical stamina and dexterity required for manual labor and prolonged standing/bending.
- Strong communication and teamwork abilities.
Preferred Qualifications
- Red Seal certification in Carpentry.
- Valid BC Driver's License and reliable transportation.
- Experience with custom home building or high-end renovation projects.
- First Aid certification.
- Fall Protection certification.
