Key Responsibilities

  • Greet customers warmly and process transactions accurately and efficiently using our point-of-sale (POS) system.
  • Handle cash, credit, and debit card transactions, providing correct change and receipts.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and inviting checkout area at all times.
  • Assist customers with product inquiries, locating items, and resolving minor issues with a friendly and helpful demeanor.
  • Process returns, exchanges, and special orders in accordance with company policies.
  • Replenish front-end merchandise and ensure promotional displays are well-maintained.
  • Adhere to all company policies and procedures, including those related to cash handling and customer service standards.

Required Skills

  • Excellent verbal communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Basic mathematical aptitude for handling transactions and counting change.
  • A positive, customer-focused attitude and a strong desire to help others.
  • Ability to stand for extended periods and perform light lifting (up to 20 lbs) if necessary.
  • Reliability and punctuality with a strong work ethic.
  • Eagerness to learn new systems and procedures quickly.

Preferred Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent (GED).
  • Availability to work flexible shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
