Key Responsibilities
- Greet customers warmly and process transactions accurately and efficiently using our point-of-sale (POS) system.
- Handle cash, credit, and debit card transactions, providing correct change and receipts.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and inviting checkout area at all times.
- Assist customers with product inquiries, locating items, and resolving minor issues with a friendly and helpful demeanor.
- Process returns, exchanges, and special orders in accordance with company policies.
- Replenish front-end merchandise and ensure promotional displays are well-maintained.
- Adhere to all company policies and procedures, including those related to cash handling and customer service standards.
Required Skills
- Excellent verbal communication and interpersonal skills.
- Basic mathematical aptitude for handling transactions and counting change.
- A positive, customer-focused attitude and a strong desire to help others.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and perform light lifting (up to 20 lbs) if necessary.
