Key Responsibilities

  • Assist with the setup and preparation of event spaces, including arranging tables, chairs, and buffet stations according to event specifications.
  • Support the kitchen team with basic food preparation tasks, ensuring adherence to strict food hygiene standards and presentation.
  • Serve food and beverages to guests in a professional, courteous, and friendly manner, demonstrating excellent customer service skills.
  • Maintain cleanliness and tidiness of all catering areas, including kitchens, serving stations, and dining areas, both during and after events.
  • Operate and clean catering equipment safely and efficiently, following all operational guidelines.
  • Replenish food and drink supplies as needed throughout events to ensure continuous and uninterrupted service.
  • Assist with the breakdown of event setups and thorough cleaning of equipment and premises, ready for the next event.
  • Adhere to all health and safety regulations, including COSHH, and company policies and procedures.
  • Work effectively as part of a team, communicating clearly with colleagues and management to ensure smooth event execution.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous experience (minimum 6 months) in a catering, hospitality, or customer service role.
  • Possession of a Level 2 Food Hygiene Certificate or willingness to obtain one upon starting.
  • Flexibility to work evenings and weekends as per event schedules and business needs.
  • Experience with various event types (e.g., corporate functions, weddings, private parties).
