Key Responsibilities
- Authentically portray assigned characters with enthusiasm, charm, and consistent integrity.
- Engage actively and interactively with children and party guests of all ages, maintaining character throughout.
- Lead various party activities, including games, songs, storytelling, and photo opportunities.
- Ensure the safety and enjoyment of all participants during character interactions.
- Maintain the cleanliness and good condition of costumes and props before, during, and after events.
- Adhere strictly to event schedules, performance guidelines, and company policies.
- Represent Hiring.zycto with the utmost professionalism and positive attitude at all times.
- Communicate effectively with event hosts and coordinators to ensure seamless party flow.
Required Skills
- Exceptional performance, acting, and improvisational skills.
- Strong verbal communication and the ability to engage diverse age groups, particularly children.
- High level of enthusiasm, energy, and a consistently positive attitude.
- Ability to maintain character integrity and persona under varying event conditions.
- Reliable personal transportation for travel to various event locations within Transcona and Winnipeg.
- Comfort and willingness to wear various costumes and character make-up for extended periods.
- Patience, adaptability, and excellent problem-solving skills in a dynamic environment.
- Must be 18 years of age or older.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous professional or amateur experience as a character performer, actor, entertainer, or mascot.
- Basic understanding and experience with children's party games and interactive activities.
- First Aid and/or CPR certification is an asset.
- Flexible availability, especially on weekends and holidays, to accommodate party schedules.
- Multilingual abilities (e.g., French, Tagalog, Indigenous languages) considered a strong asset.
