Job Description

Hiring.zycto is actively seeking an exceptional Chef skilled across Continental, Local, and Fine Dining cuisines to enrich our team in Childwall, Liverpool. This pivotal role requires a creative culinary artist capable of delivering sophisticated European dishes, reimagining traditional local favourites, and upholding the highest fine dining standards. You will be key in developing our gastronomic profile, crafting memorable guest experiences, and leading our kitchen brigade to operational excellence. Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the development and execution of Continental, Local (British/regional), and Fine Dining menus.
  • Oversee daily kitchen operations, ensuring top-tier food quality, consistency, and presentation.
  • Manage inventory, procurement, and stock rotation, implementing effective cost control strategies.
  • Train, mentor, and supervise junior kitchen staff, fostering a positive and productive team environment.
  • Uphold stringent food safety, hygiene, and sanitation standards, including HACCP regulations.
  • Collaborate seamlessly with front-of-house staff to ensure exceptional guest service and dining experiences.
  • Innovate and introduce new dishes, seasonal specials, and advanced culinary techniques regularly.
  • Ensure proper maintenance and cleanliness of all kitchen equipment and workstations.
  • Contribute to menu costing, pricing strategies, and budget management to optimize profitability.
  • Accommodate special dietary requests and allergies with precision and care.

Required Skills

  • Proven expertise in Continental, Local, and Fine Dining culinary techniques and preparations.
  • Demonstrable leadership and team management abilities in a fast-paced kitchen setting.
  • Exceptional organizational and time management skills to handle multiple tasks efficiently.
  • In-depth understanding of food safety and hygiene regulations (e.g., HACCP certification).
  • Creative culinary flair and a genuine passion for developing innovative, high-quality dishes.
