Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute innovative menus encompassing Continental, Local (British/Yorkshire), and Fine Dining cuisines.
- Oversee the daily operations of the kitchen, including food preparation, cooking, and plating, ensuring consistency and quality.
- Manage inventory, order supplies, and control food costs without compromising on quality.
- Ensure strict adherence to all food safety, hygiene, and sanitation regulations.
- Train, mentor, and supervise kitchen staff, fostering a positive and productive work environment.
- Collaborate with the management team on menu planning, special events, and promotions.
- Maintain high standards of presentation and taste across all dishes.
- Experiment with new ingredients and techniques to keep the menu fresh and exciting.
- Manage kitchen equipment maintenance and ensure proper functionality.
- Contribute to a sustainable kitchen practice by minimising waste.
Required Skills
- Extensive experience (minimum 4 years) in Continental, Local, and Fine Dining culinary environments.
- Demonstrable expertise in various cooking methods, food preparation techniques, and knife skills.
- Strong understanding of food safety and sanitation regulations (HACCP certification preferred).
- Proven ability to manage and motivate a kitchen team effectively.
