Job Description

Hiring.zycto is seeking a dedicated, compassionate, and experienced Childminder to provide exceptional daytime care for children in Beeston Rylands, Nottingham. This is a vital full-time role for an individual who is passionate about early childhood development and committed to creating a safe, engaging, and nurturing environment. As a Childminder, you will be instrumental in the daily routines, learning, and well-being of the children under your care, fostering their growth and development through play, educational activities, and consistent positive reinforcement. You will be a key figure in their formative years, helping to shape their confidence, curiosity, and social skills.

Our ideal candidate possesses a deep understanding of child psychology and developmental stages, coupled with practical experience in supervising and engaging young children. You will be responsible for planning and implementing age-appropriate activities that stimulate creativity, encourage social interaction, and promote physical activity, both indoors and outdoors, leveraging local parks and community resources. This role requires excellent organizational skills for managing daily schedules, preparing nutritious meals and snacks, and maintaining a clean and orderly play and rest environment. Furthermore, you will be expected to communicate effectively and regularly with parents, providing updates on their child’s progress, daily activities, and any significant observations, building a strong partnership to support the child’s development.

We are looking for someone who can adapt to varying needs and temperaments, offering a calm and reassuring presence while also being energetic and imaginative. Safety is paramount, and a thorough understanding of first aid, safeguarding protocols, and health and hygiene standards is essential. Beyond the practical duties, you will serve as a consistent and positive role model, helping children develop crucial life skills, emotional resilience, and a love for learning. We value proactive individuals who can identify and respond to children’s individual needs, ensuring a personalised and enriching experience. If you are an empathetic individual with a genuine commitment to supporting children’s early years and are eager to make a tangible difference in their lives, we encourage you to apply. This role offers the opportunity to build strong, meaningful relationships with children and their families, becoming a trusted and valued part of their extended support system within the Beeston Rylands community. We believe in empowering our childminders to create bespoke, enriching experiences tailored to each child’s unique needs and interests, providing a foundation for lifelong learning and well-being.
