Key Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough reviews and analyses of incoming insurance claims, ensuring all necessary documentation is present and accurate.
- Verify policy coverage, interpret terms and conditions, and determine claim validity in accordance with company guidelines and legal requirements.
- Evaluate damage assessments, repair estimates, and medical reports to approve or adjust settlement amounts fairly.
- Communicate regularly with policyholders, agents, and other parties to gather information, explain decisions, and provide updates.
- Identify and investigate suspicious or fraudulent claims, escalating complex cases to senior management or specialized units as needed.
- Ensure all claims adhere to industry regulations, internal policies, and legal frameworks specific to Scotland and the wider UK.
- Maintain meticulous records of all claim activities, decisions, and communications in the claims management system.
- Collaborate with legal counsel, forensic accountants, and other experts when necessary to resolve intricate claim disputes.
