Key Responsibilities
- Perform general cleaning duties including dusting, vacuuming, mopping, and sanitizing various surfaces in commercial and domestic properties.
- Clean and disinfect washrooms, kitchens, and common areas to high hygiene standards.
- Empty waste bins and dispose of waste responsibly.
- Replenish supplies such as toilet paper, soap, and paper towels.
- Adhere strictly to health and safety regulations, including COSHH guidelines, and company cleaning protocols.
- Operate and maintain cleaning equipment safely and efficiently.
- Report any maintenance issues, damages, or safety hazards to the supervisor promptly.
- Manage time effectively to complete assigned tasks within scheduled timeframes for each location.
- Maintain discretion and professionalism when working in private residences and commercial settings.
Required Skills
- Proven experience in cleaning or a similar role (commercial or domestic).
- Strong attention to detail and thoroughness in all tasks.
- Ability to work independently and manage time efficiently.
- Good physical stamina and ability to perform tasks requiring bending, lifting, and prolonged standing.
- Reliable, punctual, and trustworthy.
- Excellent communication skills (verbal) to interact professionally with clients and team members.
- Basic understanding of cleaning chemicals and health and safety procedures.
Preferred Qualifications
- Valid UK Driving License with access to a vehicle.
- Knowledge of COSHH (Control of Substances Hazardous to Health) regulations.
- Previous experience with a professional cleaning company.
- NVQ Level 1 or 2 in Cleaning and Support Services or equivalent.
