Key Responsibilities
- Perform a comprehensive range of cleaning tasks including dusting, vacuuming, mopping, polishing, and sanitizing various surfaces.
- Thoroughly clean and disinfect restrooms, kitchens, and other high-touch areas in both commercial and domestic properties.
- Empty waste bins, manage recycling, and ensure proper disposal of all refuse in accordance with company and local regulations.
- Maintain a consistent inventory of cleaning supplies and equipment, notifying management when reordering is necessary.
- Adhere strictly to all health, safety, and COSHH guidelines, ensuring a safe working environment for yourself and others.
- Communicate effectively and professionally with clients, colleagues, and supervisors to address specific cleaning needs or concerns.
- Handle specialized cleaning requests as required, demonstrating adaptability and a willingness to learn new techniques.
- Ensure all cleaning assignments are completed efficiently and to the highest standards within allocated timeframes.
Required Skills
- Proven experience (minimum 1 year) in commercial or domestic cleaning roles.
- Demonstrable knowledge of various cleaning chemicals, methods, and equipment.
- Exceptional attention to detail and a proactive approach to maintaining cleanliness.
- High level of reliability, punctuality, and a strong sense of responsibility.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as a collaborative team member.
- Good physical stamina and the ability to perform tasks requiring bending, lifting, and standing for extended periods.
- Basic understanding of health and safety procedures related to cleaning.
Preferred Qualifications
- A full, clean UK Driving Licence with access to personal transportation.
- Experience operating specialized cleaning machinery such as floor buffers or carpet cleaners.
- Formal COSHH (Control of Substances Hazardous to Health) training or certification.
