As a Cleaner – Commercial & Domestic, you will be responsible for a varied portfolio of sites, requiring adaptability, excellent time management, and the ability to work independently or as part of a small team. Key Responsibilities
- Perform general cleaning duties, including dusting, vacuuming, mopping, sweeping, and polishing surfaces in various commercial and domestic settings.
- Clean and sanitise restrooms, kitchens, and other common areas to high hygiene standards.
- Empty waste bins and dispose of refuse appropriately.
- Replenish supplies such as toilet paper, soap, and hand towels.
- Operate and maintain cleaning equipment, ensuring proper use and regular upkeep.
- Adhere to health and safety regulations and company policies at all times, including the safe handling of cleaning chemicals.
- Report any maintenance issues, damages, or safety hazards observed during cleaning tasks.
- Manage time effectively to complete all assigned tasks within designated schedules.
- Communicate professionally with clients and team members when required.
- Adapt to varying cleaning requirements and client specifications across different sites.
Required Skills
- Proven experience as a cleaner in a commercial or domestic environment (minimum 6 months).
- Thorough knowledge of cleaning products, techniques, and equipment.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and manage time effectively.
- Excellent attention to detail and a high standard of cleanliness.
- Reliable, punctual, and trustworthy.
- Good physical stamina and ability to perform tasks requiring bending, lifting, and standing for extended periods.
- Basic understanding of health and safety procedures.
- Right to work in the UK.
Preferred Qualifications
- Full UK driving license and access to own transport.
- Experience with specialist cleaning equipment (e.g., floor buffers, carpet cleaners).
- COSHH (Control of Substances Hazardous to Health) training.
