Key Responsibilities

  • Perform general cleaning duties in office, residential, and hotel environments, ensuring high standards of cleanliness.
  • Dusting, sweeping, vacuuming, mopping floors, and polishing various surfaces.
  • Cleaning and sanitizing restrooms and kitchens, maintaining strict hygiene protocols.
  • Emptying waste bins and replacing liners, ensuring proper waste disposal.
  • Replenishing soap, toilet paper, hand towels, and other supplies as needed in designated areas.
  • Cleaning windows, glass partitions, and mirrors to a streak-free finish.
  • Operating cleaning equipment such as vacuum cleaners, floor buffers, and carpet cleaners safely and efficiently.
  • Reporting any maintenance issues, damages, or safety hazards to management promptly.
  • Adhering strictly to health and safety regulations and company cleaning protocols at all times.
  • Maintaining inventory of cleaning supplies and equipment, notifying management when stock is low.

Required Skills

  • Proven experience in cleaning or a similar role.
  • Knowledge of cleaning chemicals and supplies, and their safe usage.
  • Familiarity with Material Safety Data Sheets (MSDS).
  • Ability to handle basic cleaning equipment effectively.
  • Strong attention to detail and thoroughness in all tasks.
  • Good time management skills and ability to prioritize tasks.
  • High level of reliability and punctuality.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
  • Basic understanding of health and safety procedures in a cleaning context.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Prior experience specifically in commercial, residential, or hotel cleaning settings.
  • Full UK driving license and access to a reliable vehicle (advantageous for travelling between sites).
  • NVQ Level 1 or 2 in Cleaning and Support Services (or equivalent certification).
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Ability to adapt to various cleaning environments and client-specific requirements.
