Key Responsibilities
- Perform general cleaning duties in office, residential, and hotel environments, ensuring high standards of cleanliness.
- Dusting, sweeping, vacuuming, mopping floors, and polishing various surfaces.
- Cleaning and sanitizing restrooms and kitchens, maintaining strict hygiene protocols.
- Emptying waste bins and replacing liners, ensuring proper waste disposal.
- Replenishing soap, toilet paper, hand towels, and other supplies as needed in designated areas.
- Cleaning windows, glass partitions, and mirrors to a streak-free finish.
- Operating cleaning equipment such as vacuum cleaners, floor buffers, and carpet cleaners safely and efficiently.
- Reporting any maintenance issues, damages, or safety hazards to management promptly.
- Adhering strictly to health and safety regulations and company cleaning protocols at all times.
- Maintaining inventory of cleaning supplies and equipment, notifying management when stock is low.
Required Skills
- Proven experience in cleaning or a similar role.
- Knowledge of cleaning chemicals and supplies, and their safe usage.
- Familiarity with Material Safety Data Sheets (MSDS).
- Ability to handle basic cleaning equipment effectively.
- Strong attention to detail and thoroughness in all tasks.
- Good time management skills and ability to prioritize tasks.
- High level of reliability and punctuality.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
- Basic understanding of health and safety procedures in a cleaning context.
Preferred Qualifications
- Prior experience specifically in commercial, residential, or hotel cleaning settings.
- Full UK driving license and access to a reliable vehicle (advantageous for travelling between sites).
- NVQ Level 1 or 2 in Cleaning and Support Services (or equivalent certification).
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Ability to adapt to various cleaning environments and client-specific requirements.
