Key Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive psychological assessments, diagnostic formulations, and risk assessments for a diverse client population.
- Develop and implement individualized, evidence-based treatment plans using various therapeutic modalities (e.g., CBT, DBT, ACT, psychodynamic therapy).
- Provide individual, couples, and family therapy to clients across the lifespan.
- Maintain accurate, confidential, and timely clinical records in accordance with professional and ethical standards.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals, referring physicians, and community resources as appropriate.
- Participate in regular peer consultation and professional development activities.
- Adhere to the ethical guidelines and standards of practice set by the College of Psychologists of Ontario (CPO).
- Manage a consistent caseload, ensuring high-quality service delivery and client satisfaction.
Required Skills
- Ph.D. or Psy.D. in Clinical Psychology from an accredited university program.
- Registered and in good standing with the College of Psychologists of Ontario (CPO).
- Minimum 4 years of post-licensure experience in a clinical setting, preferably private practice.
- Demonstrated expertise in psychological assessment and diagnosis.
- Proficiency in delivering evidence-based psychotherapeutic interventions.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build rapport with diverse clients.
- Commitment to ethical practice and client confidentiality.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with specific populations (e.g., adolescents, seniors, LGBTQ2+).
- Specialized training or certification in specific therapeutic modalities (e.g., EMDR, Gottman Method).
- Experience working with complex trauma or personality disorders.
- Ability to provide services in a second language.
- Previous experience supervising junior clinicians or students.
