Key Responsibilities
- Lead the design, development, and implementation of scalable, high-performance, and secure cloud architectures across diverse platforms.
- Define and enforce architectural standards, best practices, and governance policies for all cloud environments (AWS, Azure, GCP).
- Collaborate extensively with development teams, operations, and key business stakeholders to translate complex technical requirements into robust and innovative cloud solutions.
- Conduct thorough architectural reviews, providing critical technical leadership and expert guidance to development and operations teams.
- Evaluate new cloud technologies, services, and trends, recommending strategic solutions that align with business goals and long-term strategic objectives.
- Ensure stringent compliance with security protocols, data privacy regulations, and industry-specific regulatory requirements in all cloud designs and implementations.
- Develop and maintain comprehensive documentation for all cloud architecture, policies, procedures, and operational guidelines.
- Mentor and guide junior architects and engineers, fostering a culture of continuous learning, professional development, and technical excellence.
- Proactively manage and optimize cloud costs, ensuring efficient resource utilization and maximizing return on investment.
- Participate actively in incident resolution, providing expert architectural insights to diagnose and swiftly resolve complex production issues.
Required Skills
- Minimum 5+ years of hands-on experience as a Cloud Architect or in a similar senior architectural role.
- Expert-level proficiency with at least one major public cloud platform (AWS, Azure, or GCP); demonstrated multi-cloud experience is a significant advantage.
- Strong understanding of cloud security best practices, identity and access management, and compliance frameworks (e.g., ISO 27001, SOC 2, GDPR).
- Extensive hands-on experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools such as Terraform, CloudFormation, or ARM templates.
- Proficiency in containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes) and practical experience with serverless architectures (e.g., AWS Lambda, Azure Functions).
- Solid understanding of advanced networking concepts, distributed systems, and various database technologies (SQL, NoSQL, data warehousing).
- Exceptional problem-solving abilities, strong analytical skills, and a meticulous attention to detail.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills, capable of articulating complex technical concepts to diverse technical and non-technical audiences.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a closely related technical field.
Preferred Qualifications
- Master's degree in a relevant technical field or an MBA with a technology focus.
- Professional cloud certifications (e.g., AWS Certified Solution Architect – Professional, Azure Solutions Architect Expert, Google Professional Cloud Architect).
- Proven experience with DevOps methodologies, CI/CD pipelines, and automated deployment strategies.
- Familiarity with big data technologies, data analytics platforms, and machine learning services in the cloud.
- Prior experience in a consulting or client-facing architectural role, demonstrating strong stakeholder management skills.
- Experience with enterprise architecture frameworks (e.g., TOGAF).
