Key Responsibilities
- Design, deploy, and maintain scalable, highly available, and secure cloud infrastructure on major cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP).
- Implement and manage CI/CD pipelines for automated deployments and infrastructure changes.
- Develop and implement Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using tools such as Terraform, CloudFormation, or Ansible.
- Monitor cloud environments for performance, cost optimization, security compliance, and proactively identify and resolve issues.
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex cloud infrastructure issues efficiently and effectively.
- Collaborate closely with development, operations, and security teams to optimize application performance, reliability, and security.
- Ensure adherence to cloud security best practices, industry standards, and regulatory requirements.
- Participate in an on-call rotation for critical incident response and system reliability.
- Evaluate, recommend, and implement new cloud technologies, services, and strategies to improve our infrastructure.
- Mentor junior engineers and contribute to a culture of continuous learning and improvement.
Required Skills
- Proven professional experience with at least one major cloud platform (AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform).
- Strong understanding and hands-on experience with containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes).
- Proficiency in scripting and programming languages (e.g., Python, Bash, PowerShell).
- Demonstrable experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools (e.g., Terraform, CloudFormation, Ansible).
- Solid knowledge of networking, security principles, and storage solutions within cloud environments.
- Experience with CI/CD tools and methodologies (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab CI, Azure DevOps).
- Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and critical thinking skills.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex technical concepts.
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively as part of a globally distributed team.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related technical field.
- Relevant cloud professional certifications (e.g., AWS Certified Solutions Architect, Azure Administrator Associate, GCP Professional Cloud Engineer).
- Experience with serverless architectures and microservices.
- Familiarity with monitoring, logging, and alerting tools (e.g., Prometheus, Grafana, ELK stack, Datadog).
- Experience working in a globally distributed team environment and supporting international operations.
- Understanding of ITIL or similar service management frameworks.
