Key Responsibilities
- Manage a portfolio of customer accounts with outstanding balances.
- Engage with customers via phone, email, and other communication channels to discuss payment options.
- Negotiate and establish realistic repayment plans based on customer financial situations and company policies.
- Accurately document all communication and actions taken on accounts within the CRM system.
- Adhere strictly to all collections laws, regulations, and internal compliance standards (e.g., FDCPA, provincial regulations).
- Identify and resolve customer disputes or discrepancies in a timely and professional manner.
- Collaborate with internal teams to resolve complex account issues and improve collection strategies.
- Maintain a high level of customer service and empathy throughout all interactions.
- Meet or exceed monthly collection targets and performance metrics.
Required Skills
- Minimum 2 years of experience in collections, customer service, or a related financial role.
