Key Responsibilities
- Operate company vehicles safely and efficiently, adhering to all traffic laws and company regulations.
- Perform daily pre-trip and post-trip inspections on vehicles, reporting any issues or maintenance needs promptly.
- Transport goods, materials, or personnel to designated locations on schedule.
- Maintain accurate records of mileage, fuel consumption, and delivery logs.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch, supervisors, and team members regarding route status, delays, or issues.
- Assist with loading and unloading items as required, ensuring proper handling and securement.
- Ensure the cleanliness and basic maintenance of the assigned vehicle.
- Adhere to all safety protocols and procedures, including defensive driving techniques.
- Represent Hiring.zycto professionally and courteously at all times.
Required Skills
- Valid Florida Driver's License with a clean driving record
- Ability to pass a pre-employment background check and drug screening
- Strong commitment to safety and adherence to traffic laws
- Excellent time management and punctuality
- Basic knowledge of vehicle operation and maintenance checks
- Ability to lift and move objects up to 50 lbs as needed
- Effective communication skills
- Eligibility to work in the U.S.
Preferred Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED
- Familiarity with Cape Coral and surrounding Lee County areas
- Previous experience in a role requiring significant driving, even if not professional
- Comfortable with GPS and navigation tools
