Key Responsibilities
- Provide first and second-level technical support for hardware, software, network, and system issues via phone, email, or in-person.
- Install, configure, and maintain computer systems, peripherals, and software for new and existing employees.
- Diagnose and troubleshoot technical problems related to operating systems (Windows, macOS), applications (Microsoft 365 suite), and network connectivity.
- Perform routine system checks, updates, and maintenance to ensure optimal performance and security.
- Manage user accounts, permissions, and access rights across various systems.
- Document all support activities, resolutions, and configurations in the IT ticketing system.
- Educate users on best practices for software usage, data security, and common troubleshooting steps.
- Collaborate with senior IT staff on more complex issues and infrastructure projects.
- Maintain inventory of IT assets and manage equipment lifecycle.
- Assist with security incident response and data recovery efforts as needed.
Required Skills
- Proficiency in Windows 10/11 operating systems and basic macOS troubleshooting.
- Strong understanding of Microsoft 365 (formerly Office 365) applications (Outlook, Word, Excel, Teams).
- Experience with hardware troubleshooting and repair (desktops, laptops, printers).
- Basic knowledge of networking concepts (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, Wi-Fi).
- Familiarity with help desk ticketing systems.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a customer-centric approach.
- Ability to diagnose and resolve technical issues efficiently and effectively.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
Preferred Qualifications
- CompTIA A+ or Network+ certification.
- Microsoft Certified: Modern Desktop Administrator Associate or similar certification.
- Experience with Active Directory user and computer management.
- Knowledge of cloud platforms (e.g., Azure, AWS) basic user management.
- Familiarity with remote support tools.
- Post-secondary education in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
