Key Responsibilities

  • Provide first-level technical support and troubleshooting for hardware, software, and network issues via phone, email, or in-person.
  • Install, configure, and maintain workstations, laptops, printers, and other peripheral equipment.
  • Assist users with software applications, operating systems, and basic network connectivity.
  • Administer user accounts, permissions, and access rights in various systems (e.g., Active Directory).
  • Perform routine system checks, updates, and maintenance to ensure optimal performance and security.
  • Document technical issues, solutions, and procedures in a clear and concise manner.
  • Escalate complex issues to senior IT staff when necessary and track resolutions.
  • Educate users on best practices for IT security and efficient use of technology.
  • Manage inventory of IT assets and software licenses.
  • Participate in IT projects as needed, such as system upgrades or new technology rollouts.

Required Skills

  • Proven experience in IT support or help desk role (2+ years)
  • Strong knowledge of Windows operating systems (Windows 10/11) and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Familiarity with network fundamentals (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, Wi-Fi).
  • Experience with hardware troubleshooting and component replacement.
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical users.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Relevant certifications (e.g., CompTIA A+, Network+, Microsoft Certified: Modern Desktop Administrator Associate).
  • Experience with macOS and Linux environments.
  • Familiarity with ticketing systems (e.g., Jira Service Desk, Zendesk).
  • Basic understanding of cloud services (e.g., Microsoft 365, Google Workspace).
  • Diploma or degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
