Job Description

This pivotal role requires someone who thrives on anticipating needs, possesses an encyclopedic knowledge of Glasgow’s vibrant culture, dining, and attractions, and can effortlessly manage a myriad of guest requests with grace and efficiency. You will be the go-to person for everything from securing exclusive dinner reservations and arranging bespoke travel itineraries to providing thoughtful recommendations and resolving unexpected challenges, all while ensuring every guest feels genuinely cared for and their stay is seamless and memorable. We are looking for a proactive, highly organized individual who can maintain composure under pressure and deliver consistently high standards of service. Key Responsibilities

  • Greet guests warmly upon arrival and departure, offering assistance with luggage and general inquiries.
  • Provide comprehensive and accurate information about local attractions, events, dining, transportation, and services.
  • Handle all guest requests promptly and efficiently, including reservations for restaurants, theatres, tours, and transportation.
  • Anticipate guest needs and offer personalized recommendations to enhance their stay.
  • Maintain a detailed log of all guest requests and follow-up actions.
  • Liaise effectively with other hotel/apartment departments (e.g., front desk, housekeeping, maintenance) to ensure smooth operations and guest satisfaction.
  • Manage incoming and outgoing mail, packages, and messages for guests.
  • Assist with emergency situations and provide calm, effective solutions.
  • Uphold the highest standards of professionalism, confidentiality, and guest privacy.
  • Act as a brand ambassador, promoting a positive image of Hiring.zycto.

Required Skills

  • Minimum 2 years of experience in a concierge, guest services, or similar hospitality role.
  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills (verbal and written).
  • Extensive knowledge of Glasgow and surrounding areas, including attractions, dining, and cultural hotspots.
  • Proven ability to multi-task, prioritize, and manage time effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities and a proactive approach to guest satisfaction.
  • Impeccable personal presentation and a professional demeanor.
  • Proficiency in basic computer applications and reservation systems.
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous experience in a luxury hotel or high-end apartment complex.
  • Fluency in additional languages beyond English.
  • Relevant certifications in hospitality or customer service.
  • Demonstrated ability to build strong relationships with guests and local vendors.
