No prior experience in concrete finishing is required, as we are committed to providing all necessary on-the-job training, mentorship, and support.
As a Concrete Finisher Apprentice, you will work alongside our experienced journeymen and foremen, learning the practical applications of concrete work from the ground up. Your training will encompass a wide range of techniques, including preparing surfaces, setting forms, pouring, spreading, leveling, and finishing concrete for various structures such as floors, sidewalks, roads, and foundations. You will gain proficiency in using a variety of hand and power tools specific to concrete finishing, understanding the importance of proper mix ratios, curing processes, and quality control.
This role is perfect for someone who is hands-on, detail-oriented, possesses a strong work ethic, and is eager to learn a valuable trade. You will be instrumental in ensuring the structural integrity and aesthetic appeal of our projects, contributing directly to the creation of durable and high-quality infrastructure within the Toronto area. Your journey will involve both theoretical understanding and practical application, ensuring you develop a well-rounded skill set. You’ll learn about safety protocols, material handling, project blueprints, and the intricacies of achieving different finishes—from smooth to textured. This apprenticeship is a gateway to a long-term career with growth opportunities, allowing you to build a foundational skill set that is always in demand. If you’re ready to get your hands dirty, learn from the best, and lay the groundwork for a successful future in construction, we encourage you to apply.
