Key Responsibilities

  • Assist senior operators in the accurate loading and mixing of raw materials (cement, aggregates, water, admixtures) according to precise batching instructions.
  • Monitor equipment during the mixing process to ensure proper operation and report any malfunctions or issues promptly.
  • Perform routine quality checks on raw materials and finished concrete to ensure compliance with company standards and project specifications.
  • Clean and maintain the concrete plant, mixing drums, equipment, and work area to uphold safety and operational efficiency.
  • Help with basic equipment maintenance tasks, including lubrication and minor adjustments, under supervision.
  • Adhere strictly to all safety protocols, wearing appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) at all times.
  • Assist with inventory management of raw materials, ensuring adequate supply for daily operations.
  • Collaborate effectively with team members to ensure smooth workflow and timely completion of tasks.
  • Learn and adapt to new technologies and processes related to concrete production and quality control.

Required Skills

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Strong work ethic and a willingness to learn
  • Ability to perform physical tasks, including lifting up to 50 lbs, standing for extended periods, and working in various weather conditions
  • Basic numeracy skills for accurate measurement and batching
  • Commitment to safety and adherence to all workplace regulations
  • Reliable attendance and punctuality
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team

Preferred Qualifications

  • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
  • Experience working in a manufacturing or industrial environment (even if unrelated to concrete)
