Key Responsibilities
- Assist senior operators in the accurate loading and mixing of raw materials (cement, aggregates, water, admixtures) according to precise batching instructions.
- Monitor equipment during the mixing process to ensure proper operation and report any malfunctions or issues promptly.
- Perform routine quality checks on raw materials and finished concrete to ensure compliance with company standards and project specifications.
- Clean and maintain the concrete plant, mixing drums, equipment, and work area to uphold safety and operational efficiency.
- Help with basic equipment maintenance tasks, including lubrication and minor adjustments, under supervision.
- Adhere strictly to all safety protocols, wearing appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) at all times.
- Assist with inventory management of raw materials, ensuring adequate supply for daily operations.
- Collaborate effectively with team members to ensure smooth workflow and timely completion of tasks.
- Learn and adapt to new technologies and processes related to concrete production and quality control.
Required Skills
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Strong work ethic and a willingness to learn
- Ability to perform physical tasks, including lifting up to 50 lbs, standing for extended periods, and working in various weather conditions
- Basic numeracy skills for accurate measurement and batching
- Commitment to safety and adherence to all workplace regulations
