Key Responsibilities
- Assist skilled tradespersons (carpenters, masons, electricians, etc.) with various tasks.
- Perform general site clean-up, including debris removal, sweeping, and organizing materials.
- Load, unload, and transport construction materials to designated areas on site.
- Operate basic hand and power tools safely and efficiently under supervision.
- Dig trenches, backfill excavations, and compact earth.
- Prepare and clean surfaces for painting, waterproofing, or other finishing applications.
- Adhere strictly to all company safety policies and procedures, including wearing appropriate PPE.
- Support site management by performing other duties as assigned to ensure project deadlines are met.
Required Skills
- Ability to perform physically demanding tasks, including lifting heavy materials (up to 50 lbs), bending, standing, and climbing.
- Strong work ethic, reliability, and punctuality.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
- Basic understanding of workplace safety principles.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to follow instructions.
- Willingness to learn and adapt to new tasks and environments.
Preferred Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Valid G-class driver's license and access to reliable transportation.
- First Aid/CPR certification.
- WHMIS certification.
