Key Responsibilities
- Perform various physical tasks, including digging, lifting, carrying, and moving materials on job sites.
- Assist skilled tradespersons (e.g., carpenters, masons, plumbers) with their tasks as directed.
- Load and unload construction materials, tools, and equipment safely and efficiently.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment by removing debris, trash, and hazardous materials.
- Operate basic hand and power tools (e.g., drills, saws, shovels, rakes) under supervision.
- Adhere strictly to all company safety procedures and wear appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) at all times.
- Help with site preparation tasks such as clearing obstacles, setting up barriers, and site security.
- Participate in demolition activities, breaking down structures, and hauling away waste.
- Provide support for concrete pours, including mixing, spreading, and finishing.
- Perform general site clean-up at the end of each workday.
Required Skills
- Physical fitness and stamina to perform demanding tasks for extended periods.
- Ability to lift and carry heavy objects (up to 50 lbs) regularly and safely.
- Strong work ethic, reliability, and punctuality.
- Willingness to learn new skills and take direction from supervisors and experienced team members.
- Basic understanding of workplace safety principles and a commitment to following them.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as a vital part of a team.
- Manual dexterity and good coordination.
- Comfort working outdoors in various weather conditions.
Preferred Qualifications
