Key Responsibilities

  • Assist skilled tradespersons (carpenters, plumbers, electricians) with various tasks on-site.
  • Perform general site clean-up, including debris removal, sweeping, and maintaining an organised workspace.
  • Load and unload construction materials, tools, and equipment safely and efficiently.
  • Dig trenches, excavate foundations, and prepare sites as directed by supervisors.
  • Operate basic hand and power tools under supervision (e.g., drills, grinders, jackhammers).
  • Set up and dismantle temporary structures, scaffolding, and safety barriers.
  • Adhere strictly to all site safety regulations and company policies.
  • Assist with the pouring and spreading of concrete and other materials.
  • Support traffic control measures as required.
  • Participate in team meetings and contribute positively to a productive work environment.

Required Skills

  • Physical fitness and ability to perform manual labour, lift heavy objects, and stand for extended periods.
  • Strong work ethic, reliability, and a positive attitude.
  • Willingness to learn and take direction from supervisors and experienced team members.
  • Basic understanding of English for communication and safety instructions.
  • Commitment to adhering to all safety protocols and procedures.
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Possession of a valid Construction Induction Card (White Card) for working on Australian construction sites.
  • Previous experience in any manual labour role, even if not specifically construction-related.
  • Valid driver's license with reliable transportation.
  • Basic knowledge of construction terminology and practices.
